WHO IS ALPHA

Alpha Engineering Associates, Inc., was established 32 years ago with a focus toward automating laboratory workflow through software solutions. Alpha has both an IT business unit to support the computer needs of small to medium businesses and a highly focused software development group that specializes in working with laboratories. Alpha has been involved with the implementation of over 400 LIMS systems ranging in size from small, “Off- The-Shelf” software systems to very large, highly customized, multifunctional systems. We have a reputation for completing projects where other teams have had problems. We provide our services to clients in the Federal Government, State Agencies, Drinking and Waste Water Treatment Laboratories, Commercial Environmental Services Laboratories, Petrochemical, Manufacturing and Pharmaceutical Laboratories.

TECHNICAL SUMMARY

We have both extensive laboratory experience as well as software development skills. The founding principle of Alpha has over forty five years in the analytical laboratory environment. Over forty years involvement with selling LIMS, running a LIMS Professional Services division for a LIMS vendor, contracting to multiple LIMS vendors to implement LIMS and starting up a business dedicated to lab automation.

Most of our employees have multiple years’ experience working in the laboratory and creating software solutions to improve a lab’s workflow.
